There are many styles of pubs, lounges, and clubs to choose from in Aberdeen, just as in all the other major Scottish cities, and again the offerings here are just a tiny sampling of the venues which are available throughout the city.

PUBS

Carraiges - Located in the Brentwood hotel on Crown Street (which is in the city centre), this bar and restaurant has a casual atmosphere and is a great place to go for a nice lunch or dinner. The food served is of very good quality, and they have a reasonably good selection of beers, wines, and spirits.

The Howff - Found on Union Street, The Howff is one of the best places to go in Aberdeen if your looking for a taste of some real ale. They have an excellent selection, and you can enjoy your drink while sitting in a bar that has a very traditional look and atmosphere. This pub is also favoured by quite a few locals.

The Old Mill Inn - If you want to go somewhere with that authentic, overly Scottish feel, then this is the place for you. The floor in this establishment is carpeted in tartan, there are thick, wooden beams in the ceiling, and there is a general atmosphere that harkens to days gone by. A nice place to go for a quiet meal just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre, it can be found on S. Deeside Road.

Babylon - This elegant, modernised bar is located on Alford Street and is definitely not for the traditionalist. The lighting and decor in this place truly make it one of the more unique bars in Aberdeen, and there are also DJ's here on a regular basis.

The Globe Inn - Found on N. Silver Street, this bar has great character and is a good watering hole for both locals and tourists alike. A fairly traditional feel, and music during the weekends make it a place worth visiting.

Macs Bar - This small, cozy bar can be found on Capthorne, near the city centre. It can feel quite cramped when it gets busy, but is a nice intimate space, if you go at the quieter times.

Old Blackfriars - Beautiful stone and wood throughout this bar, located on Castlegate, make this split-level bar worth a visit. The decor is truly magnificent, along with the fine selection of beers and spirits available.

CLUBS

Amadeus - Located just outside of the city centre on Links Road.

Wodka Bar - Found on Belmont Street this is a very modernised nightclub.

Oh Henry's - This slightly older club can be found on Adelphi.
