The best way to make your way around Aberdeen is by taking a bus. Most of the buses within the metro area of Aberdeen are run by First Aberdeen bus company. The buses charge fares depending on which zones you are travelling to, and operate on an exact change principle, so make sure you have the correct money for your fare. The most you should have to pay for a single trip within the city is £1.20. There are, however, other options available to you, including an all day pass which grants you unlimited travel on the buses for a single day for £3. If you intend to be doing a lot of sightseeing this is probably your best option.

There are also open top tour buses available which will allow you to see al the main attractions within the city. This is a great way to get a general idea of what's around and what you may want to spend a little more time at.

Of course there are also taxi's available if you want to get directly to your destination, but just remember they don't come cheap!

As Aberdeen is situated by the sea it is also a beautiful city for taking a walk around, with plenty of roads beside the sea. So if you manage to catch a nice, sunny day, make the most of it!
